Most of us thought Honda begun it's history as Civic manufacturer. Frankly, it wasn't so. Before Civic, there was Honda 600, and even before that one, Honda produced motorcycles and various engines. So Honda 600 was an obvious outcome - Honda built a schassis, and put in it's 600cc motorcycle engine with a chain transmission. Three different bodies were used - Z600 or simply Honda Z - coupe version of this kei car, N 600 was a sedan (still very similar to hatchback), and S600 - a convertible. Most probably it gave birth to S2000 almost 30 years later.
